Which exercises are unsafe during pregnancy? Which exercises can be safely practiced by pregnant women? Why is it necessary to consult an obstetrician while planning a exercise regimen during pregnancy? Read More...
Please avoid strenuous exercises in pregnancy. It is better to be safe by doing simple and easy exercises that do not require much efforts. Avoid jerky movements in pregnancy as they can lead to miscarriage. Running and jogging should also be avoided for the same reason. Simple yoga postures or walking is the best way to stay fit and healthy during pregnancy.

Which habits of parents can hinder the development of kids? What are the ways to avoid bad parenting habits? Is yelling at kids for disciplining them a bad parenting habit?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Comparing kids is the worst thing that a parent does and is one of the biggest parenting mistakes. It leads to low confidence and low self esteem. They are full of doubts and cannot seem to do anything on their own. They lose interest.

Parents being busy fail to give time to their kids and this also leads to bottled up emotions and the kids drifting away. This creates a communication gap which is then difficult to overcome. when parents discuss everything with their kids, then they are able to understand the problem and thus able to solve it before the situation goes out of control.

Home Remedy for preventing and dealing with acidity:

When you wake up in the morning, after brushing your teeth, first thing you should eat is 2 glucose biscuits.
    and 2 mamara almonds.

glucose biscuits suck in the acid in your stomach and the mamara almonds flush out the glucose and acid from your body.

trust me it works. Read More...
Having aloevera juice helps in preventing acidity. Ginger juice is also helpful and these are very effective.

how often should you wash towels being used daily for hygiene purposes? and should you soak towels before washing? what is better - washing laundry by hands or washing machine? Read More...
Towels... I toss mine after about two weeks? When it feels dirty. I use a different one for my body and then my hair / face, so the hair one doesn't get changed as often or it downgrades to becoming the body towel...In my family each member has a different towel.

    Hi,
I have been trying to diet since 3 years and it has not helped me because I am addicted to sweets. Of late, I have noticed that I am very lethargic and do not have any energy. I started crying easily and I get angry also very fast. It is obvious to me that this is because my body is not getting enough nutrition. Can someone suggest vegetarian healthy foods that I should add to my daily diet to ensure that I get my strength and energy back? Much appreciated! Thanks! Read More...
Fuel and recharge your brain with omega-3 fatty acids. Found in fatty fish (such as tuna and salmon), and walnuts, these essential fatty acids play a role in keeping brain cells healthy and helping you feel mentally alert. Another potential bonus: Omega-3s encourage the body to store carbs as glycogen — the storage form of glucose (blood sugar) and the body's main source of stored fuel — rather than as fat. Thus, healthy and perky! Problem solved :)

    Hi,
I am a gujarati, so every morning I eat moong and khakras. I suffer from heavy acidity and take atleast 2 Digenes or Gelusils in a day. I recently went to a nutritionist and she told me that my acidity is caused by the daily intake of moong in my diet. I don’t know whether to believe her. My entire community has moong all the time and not all of them suffer from acidity. Should I give up moong like my nutritionist suggested or is she talking nonsense? What foods cause acidity? Read More...
All high fat/high sugar products cause acidity. Maybe it isnt the moong you are consuming, but your other food. Avoid fizzy drinks, processed food and spices and you should be ok. If you still encounter a problem, you should consult your doctor.

i have a lifelong back problem. basically its a weak back and nothing i do will make it completely healthy. it doesnt cause any problems in day to day life but if i exert a lot then back starts hurting a lot and i need to lie down for a few hours with a hot bag. everybody suggests that i should just stay fit and that that is enough to ensure that i dont get a lot of back ache. but i dont want to suffer from it at all.

my ortho doc said that we can do surgery but even then there is no guarantee that my pain will go. he says that i should just take care.

i want to do the surgery.

My son is 13 years old. My wife and I began hanging out with his best friend's parents very often. We even went for a few holidays as families together. His friend's mother and I fell in love. We both know it is wrong but we are both unhappy in our marriages. We both act like we barely speak to each other but we both talk 24/7. My wife doesn't have a hint that I am cheating on her but I am racked with guilt. I want to the right thing for my son but I also want to do the right thing for me. His friend's mom is a wonderful soft-hearted woman and I know that she will never stop me from having a relationship with my son. She wants to divorce her husband and marry me. I also want to divorce my wife. But we are both worried about the backlash from our communities. When we people come to know that we were having an affair, it will affect us both badly. Our spouses will hate us. And god knows what our children will think of us. How do I sort this all out? What should I do? Read More...
Dhwani. You are looking to divorce your wife and marry a new one. First of all even if you want to marry a new woman , never marry a divorcee or a widow because it is very difficult for women to fall in love twice. She will only marry you as a compromise because her first love turned out to be bad. The difference between first love and second love is that in first love you want to give love but in second love you only want to receive it. The best thing would be to patch things up with your wife. Some general tips . give her at least 30minutes time everyday only you 2 alone. secondly after *** with her don't just walk away continue love making for about 15 minutes even if it is just kisses. Women don't like to be left alone. Try to make her realize that u love her even when she is not looking beautiful. Please reply if you find these tips useful.

I am a successful businessman married with three grown up children.
I travel a lot in India as I am starting new businesses in other cities. I spend 5 days of my week in Hyderabad and the weekend is with my family in Bangalore.
This has been going on since over a year now and my wife is fed up. She misses me and hates being all alone every night of the week. But my Bangalore end of the business is progressing smoothly and doesn't require my presence. My Hyderabad venture is newly started and is really struggling. A lot of money is stuck in the business and I have a lot of loans to repay. I cant help it but i have to leave my family alone.

My wife is always upset and lonely and she is very understanding most of the times. But of late, she has become really upset and cries and fights with me a lot. I don't know what to do. If i could, I would really spend more time with her but I cant. I cant even make her come with me to Hyderabad as we live in a joint family and my elder brother and his wife and my parents are very old. She cant just leave them and stay with me for a long time.

Can someone suggest ways I can make her feel less lonely, How can i make this long distance relationship work? Read More...

you should take support from your relatives. there needs to be a woman figure in the life of a growing daughter who can understand her problems. You can also take the help of your parents. They will be best guide. your decision of not to marry is a personal one.

You're worried, and that's understandable. Explain him the dangers of drinking though he must be aware of it. most teenagers do not listen as they find parents preach rather than understand them so try to be in his shoes while speaking to him.

bedwetting is not a fault of toddlers. Young children under the age of seven don't yet possess the bladder capacity to stay dry all night long. Just like potty training, toddlers can be trained to curb bed wetting.
