How can parents know if their child is nervous before the exams? How can parents help kids prepare for tests? How to help child to calm down?

There are more symptoms of being nervous like a habit of nail biting, when the child does not want to go to the school or is least interested in the activities once he enjoyed a lot. Some children about keep complaining and cribbing about small things. It is our duty to help our child and understand them that they are not doing anything purposely. Relaxing the child is the first thing which every parent should do and talk everything positive to the child so that the child does not have any kind of negative influence on him or her.

Why do kids hate eating green vegetables? What are the health benefits of spinach? How to include spinach in the diet of children?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hi, it is also important to note that spinach has the highest amount of chlorophyll and hence has a dark green color compared to other green vegetables. Chlorophyll helps in the stimulation of red cell production and hemoglobin. It also has Lutein and Zeaxantin are two pigments supplied by spinach that keeps the eyes healthy in old age. You can include spinach in the child’s diet by adding it into the sandwiches, burgers or any kind of rice you make. This way they will eat it without knowing it and will also thin that they are eating their favourite food.

Why do most of the kids find studies boring? How to encourage kids to study on daily basis? How to help kids develop love for studies?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
The most important thing is to set a proper study place for the children. Make sure that the place is extremely comfortable and with a surrounding your children like. Make that study place interesting so that the children also enjoy studying. Make sure that the place is cosy for the child and has enough ventilation and bright enough to make the child feel active. It is also necessary that the children have a study place where there is no distraction and unwanted noises so that the child does not get distracted. I definitely think this thing will work and your kids will be able to study better.

How do children get distracted? What are the ways to improve child’s focus on studies? How to encourage children to concentrate on what is taught at school?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
In today’s world there are several distractions which have caused your child’s concentration ability to hamper. Even hunger can be a major distraction for the child as he won’t be able to concentrate if he is hungry. It is necessary that your child has a proper meal before they sit to study so that there is no distraction for him to get up several times while studying. When your child is studying and trying to concentrate at home it is necessary that you cut off the other distractions like TV, computer or other loud noises which can distract your children.

Do your children have trouble giving voice to their feelings? Do you think Emotional Intelligence is more important than Intelligence (IQ)? Do you feel that Emotional Quotient (EQ) should be nurtured in school's course curriculum?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
The most important thing according to me which should be taught by the parents is that the children should understand the importance of feelings and expressing it. This way you can start teaching the emotional quotient to your child. You can describe and show him your feelings so that he understands the meaning and also understand how to classify feelings in different ways. You can also test your child’s IQ there are several centres where these IQ tests are taken and from the score you can understand how much you need to work on your child.

Hi this recipe is really simple and children today really love it. Pasta is really becoming the favourite of all the kids. You can make vegetable macaroni in tomato basil sauce. You can start making it with stir frying the vegetables which you want to give your child and then add in the boiled macaroni in it and stir it. Then slowly add the cream and tomato basil sauce. If you want you can also add cheese in it if your child likes. The recipe is very rich and creamy in texture full of flavours your child will surely like it.

For what does your child argue the most? How do you deal with your child’s arguing? Do you agree that arguments can be healthy for both parents and kids?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hello, according to me parents should adopt a middle of the road approach which is not to strict not too lenient. It is necessary that children learn to respect their parents and at the same time parents should also be respecting their children’s opinion, thoughts and feelings. You can try to keep calm when you children have argumentative behaviour and shouting and scolding them can make the situation worse and also sometimes take the children away from you. Forcing the children to do what you want and as you want can never work and put you and your children in adversarial position.

I completely agree with you we parents should support our child so that he strives hard and achieves all the success which he deserves. It is also necessary that children study regularly and do their homework also on regular basis. Help the kids to finish their homework, take out time from your work schedule. When you help them they will also feel better and excited to do their homework along with you. Let them do their homework on their own and you can accompany them by just sitting along with them. Make sure that they complete their task regularly and do not have pending homework.

Hello, I have two kids and dealing with them and their studies is like a nightmare. One child seems to be studious but the other one is very naughty and does not do his homework. He does not at all like doing homework as he does not like sitting in one place after studying in school for so long. I cannot force him to sit and do his homework. I have started sitting with him and taking initiative to complete his homework along with him. This way he sits with me and I also help him whenever he needs help.

Why do children misbehave or behave differently? How to reinforce positive behaviour in children? Is punishing the right way to deal with misbehaviour in children?
To read the related articles, click here. Read More...
Many children feel that they are not valued and all the attention is given to their siblings. They start feeling left out and the outcome of this turns into misbehaviour as they feel hurt from inside and want to be wanted. Make sure you don’t ignore or make your child feel neglected during any family meeting or functions. Always try to involve him in the family and never try to make him feel he is not belonged there. There are at times when a child wants something so he starts misbehaving like a toy or game anything.

I understand that preschoolers lie but when school goers lie, this means a matter of concern. They do it knowingly and being aware of the consequences. My daughter just keeps on telling tales that she thinks we will believe. How can I stop her behavior? Read More...
Parents and other family members can make the child believe that it is absolutely safe to tell the truth in their family by their unconditional love. Encourage them to accept their mistake and make them believe that accepting their mistakes is a right thing and an opportunity to learn things from the mistakes they make. Share your experiences and examples when it was difficult for you to tell the truth but you said it anyways without thinking about the consequences. Appreciate your child for being honest and telling the truth whenever he does, this will definitely boost his self-confidence and self-respect.

Child sexual abuse is on the rise. Innocent children are made victims and this affects their social, mental and psychological development. there should be an end to this. Laws are useless. Any suggestions so as to prevent child sexual abuse. Read More...
Hi I agree with you and whatever you are saying is absolutely right. You can protect your child if you start taking precautions from the start. There have been many cases of sexual abuse in schools, coaching classes and many other places. We as parents should be knowing all the things of our child. Take an initiative and get involved in his day to day activities. Try to ask them normally what they did in the school today and with whom did they have lunch. Did they enjoy their day and have fun at school. All these questions can give you a rough outlook of his life.
