Hello, everyone has heard about theplas and also know that how amazingly tasty they are and even the children like it because they do not taste the vegetables in it. I have been giving my children theplas for breakfast, their school lunch and sometimes even for dinner. The health quotient of the theplas are about 100 % and they are also quite filling and not too heavy for the children. Methitheplas are the common theplas eaten everywhere but you can also prepare laukitheplas or bottle gourd theplas as another option so that, that way atleast your child will eat those vegetables.

Which are the best easy-to-make and healthy breakfast recipes for kids? How to encourage kids to finish their breakfast without making any fuss? What mistakes do mothers make while making breakfast for kids?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
I absolutely agree with the above point that there are some children who cannot eat breakfast in the morning and feel nauseous to eat anything. There is an option for such children who have problem eating in the morning. You can try giving them smoothies which are healthy and tasty as well. You can make a banana smoothie breakfast by adding some bananas, cereals or granola bars in milk and then blend it well. There is no need of adding sugar as bananas are already sweet and blend until the mixture is smooth. Pour it into an attractive glass add some chopped bananas in it.

How to help children do well in exams? How to improve concentration of kids? What are the ways to boost intelligence of children?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
It is important to work on the problem areas of your child. Help your child to stay in touch with the things he has studied throughout the week. Give him practise tests so that he can remember what he has learnt and also understand what he is missing or what he has not clearly understood. Make sure that when you take the test child is taking all the test seriously and improve where he makes mistakes and finds out where he gets nervous. Make sure he has many tests so that the fear of exams goes away and the child is confident.

What are the benefits of getting involved in child’s studies? In what way can parents help in developing the personality of their child? How can parents get involved in school activities?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hi, I absolutely agree with the above points and even I feel that parents should be involved in their child’s studies. When children get motivation from the parents they tend to do well and score much more than usual no matter what their social status is or their ethnic background is they tend to do well. Even though the parents do not have a proper educational background a small boost from them can also make wonders. Even I boost my children and motivate them each and every time so that they do not get influenced by any negative comments or negativity around.

    Hello Parents,

I came across this unique learning by doing program for kids of classes 3rd to 8th and has its center in Malviya Nagar. Cuemath is an innovative learning system which enables school students to master Mathematics and English Comprehension skills way beyond school level and has been developed by IIT-IIM alumni.
The idea is to solve specially-designed Mathematics worksheets under expert guidance. These worksheets are designed to address English Comprehension skills as well.
Cuemath is a guided self-learning model and is completely different from conventional tuition systems.
Learning is ability-wise rather than age-wise in Cuemath - each student follows a customized learning trajectory at his / her own pace.

I think you should visit the website and decide for yourself.

Hi, I have seen 99 percent of children who are scared of mathematics. My child was also scared of mathematics and all the eqautions and totaling. I had no idea how to overcome my child’s fear. Hearing about math people feel it to be challenging and unintelligent. Children find it very difficult to cope up with their subject. They might seem tough in school but can be made easy and fun. You can try to stimulate their brain which can be healthy for them and also for their soul. You can try doing that as it might help your child to remove that fear.

Why do kids hate eating green vegetables? What are the health benefits of spinach? How to include spinach in the diet of children?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hi, I would like to suggest you to add it in the curries or vegetables by just chopping the leaves fine and this way in the curry children will not understand it and also eat it. You can also try make a spinach soup and add butter or cream on it and can serve it with some tasty croutons or bread fries. You can finely chop off the spinach and then use it while making any king of paratha or stuffed paratha. You can also make spinach dal just the way you prepare normal dal. You can make it tangy or spicy the way your child likes it.

How to pack lunch box for kids? How to make sure that kids do not bring the lunch box half-eaten? How to include vegetables in lunch box of kids?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hi, being a parent I understand how difficult it is to cope up with the needs of our children. They always want new things in their lunch boxes. People say it is easy but it is not really that easy to think of a new recipe every single day. In this condition you can add some twists in the regular dishes itself and make them tastier. You can sort of change the recipe or change the ingredient both might help better. Making the recipe delicious and nutritious at the same time is also a task. But there are several recipes you can look out on the internet.

Visiting the library when your child is young can develop very good habits for him like reading, wanting to learn something new, reading skills, learning skills, ability to understand things better. Bring several books for your child to read so that he can explore new things and learn new things and when he is exposed to such knowledge at home, there is no doubt he will be smarter in school. Also visiting museums, historical places and botanical gardens can help increase knowledge and is a best thing to do for learning something new. Learning things with example can be more fun for the children as well.

Why are some children unable to concentrate on studies? How to help children develop better concentration while studying? How to prevent concentration problems in children?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
The most important thing which I feel apart from all these things is that the child should be having a healthy diet. When children eat nutrient rich and healthy food they can be able to concentrate on what they are doing in a much better way. Lack of nutrients and vitamins necessary for their growth can cause them to not focus on the studies or whatever they do. You can give them food which are protein rich, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, eggs, meat and even almonds. Eating healthy food will keep them healthy and active and boost their ability to focus on different activities.

To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hi, always make sure that when you prepare your food it is appealing along with a good taste. When the food looks colorful and appealing children definitely eat it and if the taste is good then no doubt about the lunch box coming back empty. Add colored vegetable like corn, carrots, spinach so that the dish looks exciting after opening the lunch box. This way you can mix different colored vegetables while cooking to make it appealing. Make sure you send a fruit as well with the lunch box also remember to send different fruits every time. I have seen same fruits like apples going with the lunch boxes daily.

Some children seem to have a habit of lying as their parents believe what they are saying and they think that lying is right thing to do. The reason being self-protection and to protect themselves they lie. As a parent it is our responsibility that our child is not scared and is honest enough to accept the truth. Such environment should be created which make your child feel safe and secure. He should feel trusted that when he wants to lie he won’t be able to. It is important that you don’t blame your child for lying and do not snap at him, talking calmly will help you tackle the situation easily.

Children are so busy in studies and homework, exam that they have forgotten to play. I recommend you that you put your child for some extracurricular activities. He might love playing cricket or enjoy karate, put him to those classes so that he feels fresh and active. Daily almost one hour is enough for them to do these activities, it will also help them keep their minds off the stress which they have. Remember to keep your child’s mind away from any kind of inferiority complex. Help him socialise more so that his confidence is boosted and he feels more positive.

It is important as a parent for us to make them our children understand how to behave. Though he is very small and slowly, gradually he will start understanding discipline. Sometimes there are experts who take care of the child to focus and behave properly or also control their behaviour. But I feel your son is too small for all this and requires your support and guidance so that his energy is invested in proper thing. I feel your child needs you and it is important that you make him understand what wrong he is doing.

Using clean towels, tissues and handkerchiefs daily. Tell your children to use their own separate towels and handkerchiefs and not to use towels which are used by other children. If your child falls sick then make sure you do not send him to school or anywhere else till he or she completely recovers so that there is no infection and germs spreading to other people. Make sure your child eats well and has a good intake of fluids so that he or she stays hydrated and does not feel weak. Also take him to the doctor for regular check-ups.
