Why do kids hate eating green vegetables? What are the health benefits of spinach? How to include spinach in the diet of children?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hi, the best option I think is to make a smoothie. Children find many reasons to not eat food even if we try to make it something different or innovative. The last option we have it is make a fruit smoothie and add spinach in it. You can also call it a green juice. You can make it by adding ice, spinach leaves, some lemon juice, chopped apples, peach, grapes, bananas, orange or blackberries or even strawberries. Then add some apple juice or honey in it and blend it well till it becomes smooth. All these fruits are optional and you can add one fruit that will be more than enough.

How to ensure healthy brain development of children? What are the ways to prevent negative impact on child’s brain development? Why is it necessary to create positive impact on brain development of children?
To read the related article, click here Read More...
The growing years of the children are very crucial and needs to be dealt smartly. It is important that children have a positive impact on their mind and it is our responsibility as parents to create this positive impact and also tell the teachers to have the same impact on the child. Remember children learn some natural stimuli on their own and there might be reasons when children cry like when they are hungry or sleepy or uncomfortable. It is important to teach our children various things from the start itself and to take things positively.

It would easier for the kids to pay more attention and enjoy the subject if we correlate the topics with real world or examples. By doing this s/he would not only understand the bookish words but also follow them in future. It's good to indulge them in sports/activities that teach them collaboration, team work, efforts, hard work and brainstorming along with entertainment. Proactively encourage them to do what they want to. Internet is a great place if utilized effectively, help them to explore new things about their subject on it. By doing this they will learn few extra things which will build confidence when they share it with their friends at school and outside. Read More...
A reality check with the real world will make the child confident and also help him learn several things which are necessary for the child to know when he faces the real world. Studying should not be the same monotonous way but should be made fun by adding some fun element and also be made enjoyable so that the kids enjoy learning. When teaching the child something if he sees it in reality that will make him learn it more easily and the child will be able to remember it more easily. Similarly other things can be done by showing a live demonstration or being present at the situation so that the child understands better.

Hello I would like to suggest a movie which very few people know about it called as Anjali. It is a very fine movie directed by Mani Ratnam, a very thoughtful and emotional story of a small girl who has mental problems. Her father hides the birth of Anjali from her mother telling her she was born dead. Later on it is showed how the mother and daughter discover each other and accept each other. This story will definitely make all of them emotional but teach a lot of lessons. Kids will definitely fall in love with the main character in the film.

There are various board games available in India like Snakes and Ladders. This game has been an all time favourite game to the children and love it to the core. This is an extremely simple and entertaining game and families have been playing this game for generations now. This is an easy game where children learn to count by using a dice in the game. All the age group children can play this game and enjoy it. You can also teach the Dotty Dinosaurs Game which is also a very entertaining and fun filled game. This game helps the children to learn about colours and shapes. The friendly and coloured dinosaurs attract the children a lot.

my daughter has a problem of lice. I use medicated shampoos and get rid of the lice but she seems to catch the infection from school. this has been happening for many times. Is there any way to prevent this? Read More...
Hello, you must have seen the advertisement of medimex which is an oil and shampoo especially available for the treatment of lice. It has been effective and I had used it on my son when he had lice in his head. Before taking a bath apply the oil and then using the comb remove the lice. Then have a bath, wash the hair thoroughly with the shampoo and do not dry the hair, when the hair is wet once again comb the hair with the lice comb. This way you can get rid of the lice in your child’s head.

Does your child throw tantrums in public? Have you ever had an embarrassing moment because of your child’s behaviour? How would you control your child?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
I have seen parents reacting in two ways when their children start screaming or shouting. They either get annoyed and shout at the child or they just fulfil what they child wants just to shut up the child before he embarrasses them more in the public. I think both of these ways are wrong according to me as if you shout at your child next time they will act up more and make you more irritated. If you give up easily then your child will use the same tricks every time to get what he wants which is not good.

Why do kids misbehave at school? How to control child’s misbehaviour at school? How to punish kids if they misbehave at school?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
I personally feel the best possible way to understand why your child is misbehaving it to understand the problem first by connecting to your child. Now-a-days parents don’t get time to connect with their children as they as so busy in their work and schedules. But this should be not done if there are complaints from the school about your children it is important to find out why and it is necessary that you have to talk with your child so that he feels safe and secure and feels motivated. Help your child develop and make him realise that you are with him.

What should be done when kids stop listening to their parents? Is it correct to punish the child if he or she does not listen to his or her parents? What are effective ways to get kids to listen to parents? Read More...
According to me, the children at this age spend majority of their time in the school. In school they have several responsibilities and pressures to deal with and following instruction of the school throughout the day. As they feel school is more demanding, once they come home they need to destress and relax their minds with no one controlling them and when you ask them to do something they completely ignore it. They do not listen to the parents but you can make them listen to you once you listen to them and their problems.

The last ten years has seen tremendous growth in the numbers of international schools in India and in particular, internationals schools in Mumbai. At a casual glance, we can ascertain that the reason behind this was the dissatisfaction with the state and national board schools, many from parents own personal experience of school. While international schools have become a popular choice for parents today, there are still many who are unsure of what are the exact benefits of having your child in one of them.
To truly understand these schools we should look at the many positive things that they bring to the academic environment rather than make a comparison with the state and national schools (though some unavoidable comparisons will appear). The reason behind this is that many international systems have been in existence for a number of years or are following on from older traditions in modern forms. It is important to understand that none of these systems are reactionary systems and have been developed to provide quality education.

    1. Universally accepted certification: International schools offer universally accepted certification that ensures that your child does not miss out on any opportunities to study further. The certification boards are prestigious and maintain a high quality level and students that receive these certifications are held in high esteem by universities around the world.

    2. A global syllabus for a global world: Thanks to information technology and liberalised economies the world has gotten more familiar with itself than at any time before. This creates a compulsion to make sure that knowledge of the world goes beyond just a hobby. International school syllabuses are tailor made so that students understand the differences and similarities of the world and are able to understand people from everywhere beyond the realm of language.

    3. Multi-disciplinary syllabus: International schools offer a multi-disciplinary syllabus so students are under pressure to choose their specialised career paths at a young age. It also helps develop students that are proficient in a variety of knowledge bases that are beneficial in an environment where multi-speciality individuals are sought after in the working world.

    4. Low student-to-teacher ratio: International school classrooms are much smaller than classrooms in standard Indian schools. This allows teachers to have more personal time with each student so that they get the most out of their learning years.

    5. All-round education: Besides academics, international schools ensure that students also learn from a variety of non-academic subjects and programmes such as sports, dramatics, music and social service. All of these non-academic activities are important for the development of young, well adjusted and healthy minds. Read More...
Putting your child in an international school helps him develop his or her talking and communication skills, behaviour and it is seen that student learning from an international school is well prepared to face the outside world and has more knowledge about it other than his peers who are studying in the national board schools. It is considered to be top class education and comes under number one ranking. The children are also taught self-management skills, protection of environment, self-defence and many other things which are beneficial for him. You can make out a difference between the children studying in international school and other schools.
