Children find it very difficult to sit in one place and do one thing for a long time and keep getting distracted by other things. There are several factors for such lack of focusing and concentration in children. One of the main reason behind this can be lack of interest in activities. There are many children who lack interest in activities and need to be motivated so that they develop interest in the activity. It also depend on the child’s liking and dislikes, if he does not like a specific thing he will never show interest in it.

Hello, I think this milkshake it is one of the most loved milkshakes amongst the children. You can make a chocolate biscuit milkshake which can turn out to be an all-time favourite milkshake of theirs. You can make it by adding milk, chocolate syrup and vanilla ice-cream and blend it till it becomes nice and frothy. Crush some chocolate biscuits and add it in the blended mixture. You can cut some apples and then also blend it to add that healthy element in the milkshake. While serving the milkshake you take a nice glass and top the milkshake with some whipped cream and chocolate sauce.

How to encourage kids to do well in studies? What are ways in which parents can get involved in the academics of children? Why is it important to be involved in the studies of children?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hi, according to me keeping your child positive and always helping him and encouraging him that he can achieve all his goals can make the child really do it. Keep your child away from all the negativity for that it is important that you also have positive outlook and prepare your child for the best. Helping your child does not mean that you should do his homework on his or her behalf, let them do it and you can sit along with them and if they have any kind of difficulty help them solve it so that they understand how it is solved.

To read the related article, click here. Read More...
When the parents influence the children and start taking part in their child’s day to day activity the effect of this can change the child into a different and better personality. There are a lot of positive outcomes like becoming more disciplined and children start studying more seriously and sincerely. Children have very little chances of failing and being out of their school and career. When the parents get involved with the children they also get to know about the things happening in school and accordingly help the child to learn things and help them throughout bridging the gap between the school and home.

Which vegetables should be included in the diet of kids? Why do kids hate eating green vegetables? How to make kids eat green vegetables?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hello, I understand how fussy and moody children become when they have to eat the green vegetables which they absolutely hate. Try to be smarter rather than forcefully feeding your children. Play smart and add all those green vegetables in their favourite food in a way that they won’t understand. You can also ask the children to eat the vegetables along with a dip as the children love dips like cheese and mayonnaise. Add broccoli or spinach in pasta or noodles and make it tastier so that they do not crib about it. Usually when children have their favourite food served they tend to eat it without any fuss.

Do your children have trouble giving voice to their feelings? Do you think Emotional Intelligence is more important than Intelligence (IQ)? Do you feel that Emotional Quotient (EQ) should be nurtured in school's course curriculum?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hi, it is necessary that children receive proper emotional intelligence training from the parents. There are children who get very less emotional support from their parents at home. This can make him more vulnerable to be under peer pressure and depression. The child can also face anxiety and worries and he may hide his feelings from all and might turn into a shell. He might not able to face the world outside and in the fear of being hurt he might just become quiet. This can make the child an under-achiever and can be bullied or he can himself turn into a bully.

What is the right age to introduce computers and internet to children? How can parents supervise the computer usage in children? How to teach internet safety to children?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Today cyberbullying has increased a lot and reached to another level. Here innocent children are harassed online through social networking sites, chat rooms, emails and even through text messaging. Many of the parents have complained about this and children are forced into all these things either by blackmailing or threatening them by something which might scare them. In other case the child also might become a bully and start harassing his peers or other children and doing exactly same things which were done to him. It is better to have your child supervised when he is using the computer so that he does not become a victim of cyber bully.

Hi, seeing new behaviour from children every day is not a new thing now. As children start growing up they change, their behaviour changes. There are at times when the children want something from their parents or the parents want something from the child, chances are that they might end up in an argument. Dealing with the arguments may not be easy and children will always think that the parents don’t understand them. You might be frustrated and confused how to deal with aggressive children. I suggest you to find the reason behind this kind of behaviour of the children rather than arguing with them.

It is important that the children understand the outside world also and the also talk about your day so that he understand the issue which the adults have to face. Take the child along with you like to the grocery shop where he can learn a lot of things like counting, learning about colours, numbers, alphabets and adding things. Help them differentiate between different things like picking out apples and oranges differently. Ask them to tell the different colours which they see. Let them read the labels and the price on the items available. This way children will become smarter and also understand the concept which is understood outside.

Does your child misbehave? What are the common causes of misbehaviour in children? What do you do when your child misbehaves in public?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hi, there is a tendency of children to be irritated and angry when they are hungry or tired of something. They tend to start misbehaving just because they are not feeling well. In this case also they need attention from you and you should know what exactly your child wants. Try to feed your child healthy food as much as possible and make sure he is never left hungry. You child needs a good sleep of 8 to 10 hours and see through it that he is not sleep deprived. A daily activity can keep him active and fresh daily so this can keep him happy.

My child is just 9 years old but is very conscious about her weight. she fears putting on weight so tries to minimize her intake. I think she is too small to have weight concerns and moreover she is not the heavier side also. Read More...
Remember over-feeding your children is also not good. If they start feeling full do not force them to eat unnecessarily, they might end-up having a stomach ache or might also feel nauseous. Please never try to force feed your child, it is okay if she does not finish her food completely and forcefully feeding them when they are not hungry is also not required. Remember eating healthy is more important than how much she eats. When she has had all the nutrients required it will not make a difference in the quantity had. I hope this can be helpful for you as these techniques worked with my child.

How to ensure that child is safe at school? How to prevent child from becoming a victim of child abuse and violence at school? What measures should schools take to ensure safety of children?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
I agree with what you are trying to say as children rarely speak up and are either scared to tell or terrified by the fact of being punished. Child safety is very important and no parent wants his or her child to be harmed. The crime rate and sexual abuse and harassments increasing day by day makes every parent worried for their child. It is important for us parents and the school authorities to be aware of all the situations happening around the children. It is important for us to know that our child is not becoming a victim.

I agree with you completely and what you are saying is a really good idea to try new recipes with a twist. Children might like some of the dishes and might want more and eat the healthy stuff without even knowing. I would like to recommend drinking milk daily. At least two or three glasses of milk should be taken by children in a day. Milk and other dairy products help in proper growth of the child and provides with all the nutrients required by the body for the growth of the child. If you are scared that he might gain those extra calories you can calories you can give them low-fat or non-fat milk.

I understand that preschoolers lie but when school goers lie, this means a matter of concern. They do it knowingly and being aware of the consequences. My daughter just keeps on telling tales that she thinks we will believe. How can I stop her behavior? Read More...
Dealing with children and their tantrums has always been a hard task for the parents. Understanding the reasons why they lie are more important than helping them to give up this habit. The main reasons for lying are that they feel scared and also feel scared of punishments, rejections, they also lie because they feel that it will make things easier, feel threatened and also feel trapped. They feel that they should looked as a better person and they don’t know how good they are and that is the reason they lie. If you can find these signs then try to resolve this problem with care and affection.

My kid gets very nervous during his exams. He forgets everything that he had learnt? How can I help him? Read More...
A supportive parent is all what a child needs. As parents we should be able to help our children and be available for them whenever they need. Try to help them in their studies, be their study buddy and help them cope up so that they are more confident and ready. Encourage them to share things and not to worry about unnecessary things. You can also talk to their teacher in the school and keep a track of him and studies. Make him understand things he it is being difficult for him. Be a tutor and more of a friend than a parent.

To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Usually I have seen that the elder child becomes jealous of the second child as he feel that he is being ignored and his baby sister or brother is being loved more by his parents. This gradually increases as they grow big and have to share their toys or books. They always fight for parent’s attention and even for rooms and beds. It is your responsibility if they feel so then you should resent it and try to be neutral with both of them and it is important that they are realised with the fact that you love both of them equally.

Peer pressure in school makes your child to go along with a group or classmates, compromising his beliefs, self-worth, etc.. As a result, it leads to rejection. This is a bad sign. While there is also a positive side to it while going along with a crowd to become more productive with positive thoughts, enabling your child to achieve more in life. Read More...
Hey all, peer influence can be described by the behaviour of your child and is shaped by wanting to feel that they should belong to a group of friends. Some children start taking the anti-social behaviour and start doing things which they were not really interested in, they might be good or bad. In school going children mostly the peer influence results in wearing same clothes, jewellery and hairstyle like their friends. Watching same TV shows which their friends watch or listening to the same music. Playing same games, same play stations, even using the same words they use.
