Which parenting rules should be always followed by parents? What are the benefits of following positive parenting rules? How to be a better parent?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Parents now a days do not have time for kids. They are busy in their work and this is the biggest mistake that they make. Parents should take time out for the kids as this helps in bonding and building trust. Parents who do not spend much time with kids are committing a grave mistake which they will realize later. Another mistake that most parents do is rewarding kids with junk. this gradually becomes a habit and kids give in to junk food and foregoing healthy food. Healthy food should be made a habit at any cost.

Why do some Indian parents think they are always right? How do Indian parents react to misbehaviour of kids? How does phrases used by parents affects kids? Read More...
Most of Indian parents have the thinking that they are always right. They have the feeling that whatever they do is right and for the benefit of their kids. They have this feeling as they think that they are experienced and hence can never go wrong. They discipline their kids with certain do's and don'ts. when I was a kid, I was always told what to do and what not to, and how to behave in front of others. I hardly had any say in such matters. So I feel this is the case in all households.

What are the golden rules of parenting? How to decide what is good and what is bad for a child? On whom should parents rely for getting right parenting advices? Read More...
I feel that parenting cannot be taught but is a unique experience for all and is always a learning process. According to me to be a better parent requires patience. What I feel golden rules of parenting are as follows :
Parents need to be open with their kids as then only they will be understand their problems and pick on the cues.
They should try to spend time with the kids every day doing what the kid likes and these will add up to cherished moments later on in life.
A child requires the love and support of both the parents so both the parents should take part in raising up the child and the arguments should never come out in front of the child.
It is good to raise the child with good values so that he or she respects others and this is also the dire need of the day.

What is the right age gap between two children? What things should be considered while planning a second baby? What are the disadvantages of having only one child?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
The most common age gap is 3 years as it works fine both for the children and the parents. Parents are able to raise the kids simultaneously when the age gap is 3 years and the elder sibling is comparatively responsible and able to help in nitty gritties. There is also a better understanding between the siblings and they grow up as friends. The parents also find it easier to manage the kids

How important is to apply SPF or sunscreen on the face? Read More...
sunscreen is very important for skin especially face. sunscreen blocks UV A AND UV B rays that cause skin cancer and premature ageing of the skin. Facial skin is very sensitive and it reacts quickly to outside changes so sunscreen protects the skin. It prevents premature ageing, skin cancer and sunburn. even on a cloudy day, one should use sunscreen.
For me sunscreen is a must have in my daily skin care routine. I don't go out without applying sunscreen and apply it even in winters.

Whatever I try my kid is not taking a liking to milk. I am worried for him. Please suggest me some ideas by which I can make him drink milk regularly. The problem is that he even does not like milk products so no chance of him having cheese or curd or other things. The only thing he likes is chocolates.

Which activities can help to boost child’s memory? Till what age is it possible to sharpen and polish child’s memory? Which foods can help to enhance child’s memory?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Brain boosting activities that engage brain cells help in boosting memory. Games such as the ones in which a child has to remember number of things in a place is very effective. Parents can ask their kids to name objects in a room as this will help them memorize. Music and poems and rhymes also foster quick learning so these tools should be used for teaching kids and making them learn quickly.

Which social skills should be taught to children? Why is it important for kids to learn social skills? How can parents facilitate social success for children?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Social skills are very important in this age of marketing but many kids are shy and it is difficult for them to open up. I feel that parents should teach their kids some basic skills so that they can cope up with the social pressure. A smiling face is like a magnet so if a kid is smiling, then he or she will have no problem in making friends or mixing with others. I am sure that this even a shy kid can do. so parents should encourage kids to smile when meeting others.
