Some of the signs are also that such gifted kids are so focused and have a great level of concentration and remember things easily. These children can also solve their problems easily with their own ideas and creativity. You can notice that these children are stronger than the other children mostly they are emotionally stronger than the children even older than their age. They might also feel for the children of their age who cannot do as well as he does. Majorly these children are always active, you can also say that they are hyperactive and always ready to do new things.

Hi, it is necessary that you encourage your child to study hard and if he or she is brilliant then just a push is more than enough for them to perform well. Motivating children and boosting the self-confidence can take children to a next level. Telling them how good they are and how better they perform can make them brighter students. I personally feel every parent should encourage and motivate their children positively so that the children can be brilliant and excellent in what they do. Every parent wishes that their children be best and do well in their lives, have a good future.

Which activities can help to boost child’s memory? Till what age is it possible to sharpen and polish child’s memory? Which foods can help to enhance child’s memory?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Today there is so much pressure and competition in the world that children tend to get confused and stressed out and due to that they cannot recall things easily. You can help your child if he is going through such a situation by telling him to remember all the things he did and learnt in the school, outside the school. Help the child by creating a daily routine which the child can follow and can improve his memory once he gets a habit of that and remembers things easily. Keep the things simple so that the child understands it easily and does not forget anything.

How to help children do well in exams? How to improve concentration of kids? What are the ways to boost intelligence of children?

Keep a track of all the tests and results so that the children also understand how much they improve every single time they give the test. Seeing progress in their results will motivate them and give a boost to their confidence to do even better. Once your child starts giving tests he will be able to handle the stress and perform better every time. The review of the test is important and from that you can find out the level of the child. Taking the tests can also help your child to figure out where he or she is going wrong and on which problem areas he or she needs to work.

    Hello Parents,

I came across this unique learning by doing program for kids of classes 3rd to 8th and has its center in Malviya Nagar. Cuemath is an innovative learning system which enables school students to master Mathematics and English Comprehension skills way beyond school level and has been developed by IIT-IIM alumni.
The idea is to solve specially-designed Mathematics worksheets under expert guidance. These worksheets are designed to address English Comprehension skills as well.
Cuemath is a guided self-learning model and is completely different from conventional tuition systems.
Learning is ability-wise rather than age-wise in Cuemath - each student follows a customized learning trajectory at his / her own pace.

I think you should visit the website and decide for yourself.

I personally feel that being anxious is a simple and common reaction when the children are unable to cope up with math subject. It is our responsibility as parents to encourage our children and help them do better so that they get motivated and boosted. When the confidence level is boosted they can try doing and solving sums. It is necessary that we keep boosting their confidence so that they take it seriously and also that they can do it. Making their mind positive by saying positive things can influence them to take interest in the subject and understand it.

How can parents make kids have their meals happily? How to make simple meals interesting for kids? How to prepare nutritious yet kid friendly meals?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hi, I agree there should be something new and different in meal which might attract the child to eat. Feeding your child dal rice daily can make him feel nauseous, you need to add some twist to make it different and more edible. You can add the same ingredients but one day you can make biryani by adding all the vegetables or a pulao by adding peas and carrots. One day you can make chicken biryani as children love eating chicken. One day you can just make some masala rice by simply adding turmeric and salt in the rice and some spice. This way when you try to be innovative they will also love to try new things.

How to build learning environment for kids? Why is it necessary to build learning environment for kids? How does right learning environment aid in brain development of kids?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
When kids are young they quickly pick up new words and also remember them for a long time. It is necessary that parents build a strong bond in learning and communicating from a young age so that the child is smart enough. Send your children out to play rather than playing video games and on laptops. Physical activities are much better and preferred than watching TV. Children love building blocks, colouring books, painting and solving puzzles which are extremely beneficial for the growing children’s development. All this can help in developing creativity in kids and also make their brain sharper.

I would like to suggest that you play Bingo with your children as it is extremely fun game. You can notice every school going kid playing this game when you check his books. There are various versions of bingo available in the shop as well which use shapes and colours not letters and numbers. You can play it in a group with your entire family or just you two. This game is based on memorising and identifying different shapes, letters, objects and words. You can choose any version to play with your child, it is going to benefit him ultimately. It will help increase the memory power of the child and develop his listening skills.

How does BMI help in determining child’s health? How can BMI of children be calculated at home? Does a high BMI in kids mean a health problem? Read More...
It is extremely important that the child has a good and balanced diet along with some physical activity daily. Remember everyone in your family needs at least five servings of food and children do not eat it. These servings should be of fruits and vegetables respectively. When children see adults having the food eventually they will also try to taste it and eat. It is necessary that you put a limit to their TV watching and compulsorily they should get at least one hour physical activity. This will help them be fit and active throughout. Eating breakfast, lunch and dinner sufficiently will provide them with the energy they required.

Hi, it is important for all the parents to know that children also undergo through stress just like us adults. Children usually never tell about their stress but seem to fall ill or tend to get nervous and scared of things. There are some parents who have a lot of expectations from their and this makes the children burdened and pressurised. When they are not able to come up to the expectations of their parents they start getting stresses and depressed. Today’s competitive world has also increased the stress levels in kids. It is our duty that we motivate our child and help them to reduce their stress by supporting them.

Does your child throw tantrums in public? Have you ever had an embarrassing moment because of your child’s behaviour? How would you control your child?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
It is necessary that you remind your child what are his limitations and how he should behave in the public. You can prepare him or her earlier itself and let him know what is expected from him. If you are going to a mall, you can tell him that he won’t get unnecessary toys which he already has but he can ask for something good which will be useful for him. If you go at a park you should let him know that he has to be patient as there will be crowd and rush and everybody wants to have fun. Always try to compliment his good behaviour.

Why do kids misbehave at school? How to control child’s misbehaviour at school? How to punish kids if they misbehave at school?
To read the related article, click here. Read More...
Hi, according to me it is important that the children speak their mind and heart out so that they do not feel bothered about anything. It is important for us as parents to be extremely supportive in such cases and assure the children you are with them and there is no need to be scared of anything or any punishment. Telling the truth is important and having a daily conversation with your child about school and other things will help you identify the reason and you can find a solution for it. Make your child feel safe and secured.

What should be done when kids stop listening to their parents? Is it correct to punish the child if he or she does not listen to his or her parents? What are effective ways to get kids to listen to parents? Read More...
Hi, your child will try hard not to listen to you but they cannot ignore the fact that you are present in the same room if you make your presence known. If they are in their room busy with something, just go and give a tap on the shoulder so that they come out of it. You can act up so that the child can listen to you. Try to do something which will divert his or her attention and make them come to you. Such tactics have been used by my friends and they completely worked on her children.

The last ten years has seen tremendous growth in the numbers of international schools in India and in particular, internationals schools in Mumbai. At a casual glance, we can ascertain that the reason behind this was the dissatisfaction with the state and national board schools, many from parents own personal experience of school. While international schools have become a popular choice for parents today, there are still many who are unsure of what are the exact benefits of having your child in one of them.
To truly understand these schools we should look at the many positive things that they bring to the academic environment rather than make a comparison with the state and national schools (though some unavoidable comparisons will appear). The reason behind this is that many international systems have been in existence for a number of years or are following on from older traditions in modern forms. It is important to understand that none of these systems are reactionary systems and have been developed to provide quality education.

    1. Universally accepted certification: International schools offer universally accepted certification that ensures that your child does not miss out on any opportunities to study further. The certification boards are prestigious and maintain a high quality level and students that receive these certifications are held in high esteem by universities around the world.

    2. A global syllabus for a global world: Thanks to information technology and liberalised economies the world has gotten more familiar with itself than at any time before. This creates a compulsion to make sure that knowledge of the world goes beyond just a hobby. International school syllabuses are tailor made so that students understand the differences and similarities of the world and are able to understand people from everywhere beyond the realm of language.

    3. Multi-disciplinary syllabus: International schools offer a multi-disciplinary syllabus so students are under pressure to choose their specialised career paths at a young age. It also helps develop students that are proficient in a variety of knowledge bases that are beneficial in an environment where multi-speciality individuals are sought after in the working world.

    4. Low student-to-teacher ratio: International school classrooms are much smaller than classrooms in standard Indian schools. This allows teachers to have more personal time with each student so that they get the most out of their learning years.

    5. All-round education: Besides academics, international schools ensure that students also learn from a variety of non-academic subjects and programmes such as sports, dramatics, music and social service. All of these non-academic activities are important for the development of young, well adjusted and healthy minds. Read More...
Though not every one of us can afford to send our child to an international school, but I can say that those schools are the best and can help your child to shape as a confident and mature person. Children who study in this school are tend to be more independent in their thinking and working. Their thoughts are shaped into positive thoughts and learn to think creatively. Going to these schools can change your child’s personality overall and can be a help in shaping him for the future. I hope there are many more international schools opening in India.
